Dear Friends, Green Lake Table Tennis Club announces a new Saturday Evening League, starting THIS SATURDAY: December 2, 2006, at 6pm. Yazel Boudour has consented to run the show: THANK YOU YAZEL!! Please come show your support and help us start this new event! The cost is unchanged: adults $5, kids $3, first-timers $0. ROUND ROBIN: Players will be grouped by skill level and play everyone in their group, round-robin style -- at least four matches. OPTIONAL TEAMS: We will also support team spirit with a team prize and a team scoring system (sum of rating changes). With the regular round-robin playing order, you don't have to join a team to play, and no-shows and drop-ins are fine since their rating changes, if any, have no effect on team scores. But we will get to cheer for each other, which is great. Low-level improvers mixed with high-level teachers may be most likely to win, so you could team up to win with kids, students, or enthusiastic garage players. Bring your friends! DOUBLES?: Some players have expressed interest in a doubles round-robin also; if we can get 8 players to sign up then we will try to make it happen in part of the gym; talk to Yazel! So please plan to see us on Saturday, before 6pm, to inaugurate the Green Lake Saturday Evening League! Best, Tom Veatch P.S. www.greenlakettc.com is our new website.
