By acclamation, I consent. Here, finally, are some pictures of
relatively-recent-model V-grip paddles I have made.
The one I use most is the Stiga paddle, shown without rubber (but
I now put black on top to minimize color contrast).
The KVP-H model is the one with the sticker on top (the KVR has no sticker).
The KVP-H has Palio rubber on top, and Moristo 2000 on the bottom.
The grey material is papier maché (conformable, light, hard,
sandable), over a frame of plastic mesh, nails, staples.
The drop handle is attached using 1.5-inch screws.
If you would like me to make you one, send me a paddle I can destroy,
an outline of your hand drawn on paper, and a donation that
makes you feel good about it (your name and address would be a good idea too).
A recent improvement (not shown!) is to thicken the drop handle
at the middle finger level (it would hide the middle bone of the
middle finger in this picture or its right-handed mirror), by adding 7-12mm thickness of
papier mache, so that middle finger adduction rotates the paddle
bottom-side-up. This improvement was discovered by Aaron Castillo:
Thanks Aaron!
