Finishes-Ceramic Tile Scope: 1. Provide all labor, material, hand tools, equipment (including safety equipment), supervision, supplies, and other incidentals necessary to install the ceramic tile work and perform all such work in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, addenda, and other documents that make up the contract documents but not limited to the following: a. Marble, granite, ceramic, paver, and quarry tile, and accessory pieces for a complete installation b. Tile for all floors, walls, showers, tub areas, fireplace surrounds, hearths, countertops, and backsplash areas as indicated in the finish schedule c. Marble thresholds and dividers between tile and carpet or vinyl floor surfaces d. Mortar, thinset, mastic, leveling compound, and crack filler needed to complete the work e. Grout, rough-in, and pan in shower areas 2. Notify project superintendent of any walls out of plumb beyond 1/4 inch before installing tile. Install all cut pieces equally on two sides. 3. Do not cover up inferior or defective work. 4. Prepare surface and make minor repairs to substrate. 5. Install all work in accordance with specifications, procedures, and practices prescribed by the manufacturer. 6. Clean up all materials resulting from the work and remove from the site. 7. Clean all tile and remove stains, mastic, glue, thinset, and grout. 8. Protect all floor tile from damage. Optional Scope Items: 9. Provide and install marble window sills. 10. Submit all tile samples and receive written approval before starting work. 11. Provide and hang cementitious backer board in all locations specifying ceramic tile (included in Finishes-Drywall). 12. Provide and hang moisture resistant sheetrock in all locations specifying ceramic tile (included in Finishes-Drywall). Exclusions: 1. Molded, simulated marble countertops 2. Marble window sills
