Roofing-Built-up 

Scope:

1.	Provide all labor, material, hand tools, equipment (including safety equipment), supervision, supplies, and other incidentals necessary to install the built-up roofing and perform all such work in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, addenda, and other documents that make up the contract documents but not limited to the following:
a.	Single-ply, built-up roofing, and membrane roofing
b.	Cant strips, expansion joints, roof hatches, skylights, accessories, and necessary incidentals for a complete roof
c.	Roofing insulation
d.	Flashing, counter flashing, reglets, eave drips, gravelstops, vents, and boots
e.	Adhesives, mastic, and solder
f.	Fasteners necessary to complete the work
2.	Stack roofing materials on top of roof.
3.	Install all roof materials according to the specifications, procedures, and practices prescribed by the manufacturer(s).
4.	Install all materials to meet the wind load standards for the area.
5.	Do not allow dissimilar metals to touch.
6.	Clean up all materials resulting from the work and remove from the site.

Optional Scope Items:

7.	Lap all flashings, drips, and stops a minimum of 6 inches and set in bitumen at each joint.
8.	Vary insulation thickness to provide drainage to interior drains at the rate of 1/8 inch per foot.
9.	Provide and install gutters and downspouts.
10.	Provide and install wood blocking and nailers.
