Flooring-Carpet, Vinyl, and Wood Scope: 1. Provide all labor, material, hand tools, equipment (including safety equipment), supervision, supplies, and other incidentals necessary to install the flooring work and perform all such work in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, addenda, and other documents that make up the contract documents but not limited to the following: a. Carpet, pad, tack strips, metal edges, and accessories for a complete job (If a carpet is not selected, include a square yard allowance amount.) b. Resilient flooring sheet and tile materials including vinyl, vinyl composition tile (vct), vinyl base, and accessories for a complete installation (If a resilient flooring is not selected, include a square foot allowance amount.) c. Bonding coating, adhesives, glue, and mastic to secure the work d. Wood flooring, block, plank, and parquet flooring e. Related trim f. Wood sanding and finishing 2. Prepare floors, fill all score lines, cracks, and rough areas that are noticeable to the sight or feel when walking over the finished surface. 3. Install carpet with a tight fit, run with same direction; seam only when necessary. 4. Remove all glue, mastic, and stains, and protect finished surface. 5. Install all work in accordance with specifications, procedures, and practices prescribed by the manufacturer. 6. Include an underlayment if recommended by the manufacturer. 7. Caulk vinyl flooring around plumbing fixtures. 8. Cut in all vinyl to fit edges around walls, fixtures, and cabinets to prevent gaps. 9. Seal all vinyl seams. 10. Clean up all materials resulting from the work and remove from the site. Optional Scope Items: 11. Submit all carpet samples and receive written approval before starting work. Exclusions: None
