Carpentry-Finish Scope: 1. Provide all labor, hand tools, equipment (including safety equipment), supervision, supplies, and other incidentals necessary to install the finish carpentry work and perform all such work in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, addenda, and other documents that make up the contract documents but not limited to the following: a. Finish carpentry including base molding, door molding, chairrail, handrail, wood railing, shoe, corner, and attic access casing b. Bath accessories including medicine cabinets, towel bars, toilet paper holders, and handicap grab bars c. Interior doors d. Interior decorative spindles, wood caps, and disappearing stairways e. Finish hardware including deadbolts, locksets, latchsets, thresholds, doorstops, closures, templates, push/pull plates, panic hardware, weather stripping, and kick plates f. Wood and metal shelving 2. Set and adjust all doors to fit 1 inch off final floor over carpet and 1/2 inch over vinyl and ceramic tile surfaces. 3. Shim all door jams at butts and latch as required for a solid fit. 4. Miter interior corners using the "coped" method. 5. Do not cover up inferior or defective work. 6. Clean up all materials resulting from the work and remove from the site. Optional Scope Items: 7. Provide and install chalkboards, tackboards, signage, and mail boxes. 8. Provide and install fire extinguishers. 9. Provide and install identification numbers and letters for door and buildings. 10. Turn over all keys marked for appropriate doors to project superintendent. 11. Provide and install exterior metal prehung door units. 12. Provide and install door slabs in metal frames. 13. Set thresholds in a full bed of sealant. 14. Adjust thresholds so that exterior doors fit snugly after cleanup. Exclusions: 1. Materials paid for by others 2. Ceramic bath accessories embedded in ceramic tile 3. Sliding glass doors 4. Exterior doors 5. Cabinets and custom millwork
