In round robin tie-breaking: 1) Unrated players shouldn't win an RR event unless it is the Open to prevent sandbagging. Include their results initially in the calculations but don't advance them at the end. 2) Assign 2 "match points" for each win. Assign 1 "match point" for each loss in a completed match. Assign 0 "match points" for each loss in an uncompleted match (forfeit, withdrawal, injury, unplayed, unfinished, etc.) For each player count total match points, and sort. The player with the largest number wins. If multiple players are tied based on Level 2, then... 3) For each tied player count match points within only the matches among the tied players. If that leaves some tied at Level 3 then... 4) For each tied player calculate the ratio of games won to games lost within only the matches among the tied players. If that leaves some tied at Level 4, then... 5) For each tied player calculate the ratio of points won to points lost within only the matches among the tied players. If that leaves some tied at Level 5, then... 6) Declare a tie, or flip a coin.
